Signiture of artist Hans Liska


Hans Liska was a master of capturing motion and movement in his paintings. Through his work as a journalist, he perfected his style of simulating action caught in the moment. Together with his work for Mercedes-Benz, this captivating quality in particular made him famous and earned him international acclaim.

For his press work, Liska was always very close to the action. Especially during the 1940s and 50s he documented numerous sporting events. He skilfully staged the most exciting moments graphically.

Before the war he also documented the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 for 'Berliner Illustrierte'.
